the greenville county fine arts center

since 1974, the fine arts center has developed the talents of many of greenville's high school performers. Theatre, dance, music, art, creative writing, and architecture are offered. the first home of the fac was the old hattie duckett elementary school. in 2006, the school moved into a new building on pine knoll dr. a few of the music faculty are in the gmp archive: steve watson (Jazz), and Dr. jon grier (classical). the music department has send many producers, writers, and performers to nashville and beyond, including mezzo-soprano elizabeth bishop and musician marcus king.
