Mac Arnold has played bandmate to the most recognizable names in blues and soul music. He played with James Brown and Muddy Waters. He was in the Soul Train band. He is recognized as a living legend of the blues by the people of Greenville.
With his homemade gas can guitar and his signature cowboy hat, he is one of Greenville’s most recognizable icons. Apart from his work as a sideman with many legends of blues and soul music, Arnold has released four LP’s with his group, Plate Full O’ Blues, and another LP as a solo act.
